Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or a date of birth into one of the search boxes on this site, the entry goes to the outside provider that runs the search. That company processes it and returns results. We do not keep or log the terms you enter here.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message so that we can reply. It stays within our team, and we will not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page on this site loads, our servers record some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- The browser you used and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you opened and how long each stayed on screen
- The site that referred you here, when there was one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. They show us which pages draw traffic and where readers tend to leave. Analytics services aggregate that traffic data. Your browser settings can block cookies at any time, though a few parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Sending a search request to the right partner service
- Learning which pages are useful and which need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Showing advertising that may match your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. It publishes general guidance about where St. Charles Parish warrant records are held and how to check them through the Sheriff's Office, the Clerk of Court, the seven Justice of the Peace districts, and the 29th Judicial District Court. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are provided by outside companies. What you type into one of those tools is processed under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners set their own retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link to Sheriff's Office pages, court records portals, the parish Justice of the Peace directory, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Following any of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may also track activity across sites in order to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A limited amount of information may reach:
- Search partners that handle a query you run here
- Analytics services that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or a government body when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect the information we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is completely safe, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, state privacy and consumer-protection law may give you additional rights over your personal data. Where a request concerns records held by a Louisiana public body, the Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., provides the inspection and copying framework; records held by this privately run site are not covered by that law. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to delete your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change over time. When it does, the revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Check back to see how we handle visitor information.
